And who can blame them? An "overnight" success story gets a lot more attention and offers a much stronger promise of "instant" success to the people they target... people desperately seeking fast, easy success and effortless profits.

FACT #2: It doesn't have to be that way. When you KNOW the right things to do, and the right reasons for doing them, success is 100% predictable.

The TRUTH about Internet business success...

Here's the most basic and unchangeable FACT about online business: You either KNOW what you're doing or you DON'T. And if you don't KNOW what you need to do to succeed, you risk being eaten alive by those who do.

Guessing won't help

You can't "fake it 'til you make it" in a business of your own. That's what employees do, not their employers. You can't succeed as an entrepreneur, marketer and innovator by thinking and acting like an employee, consumer and imitator. Guessing is like playing REVERSE Russian Roulette. Small and home-based businesses, online and offline, have a failure rate of 90% within the first 10 years (75% in half that time), so doing what everyone else does is nothing less than a 90% guarantee that you'll FAIL. (Who are they all following like lemmings off a cliff, anyway? Typically, it's someone who guessed!)

What does work then?

Sound business principles and practices work online just as reliably as they work offline. Sure, there are lots of technical tricks and tactics that Internet marketers use — but the people who fall for short-term fads and gimmicks soon find themselves scrambling desperately for NEW fads and gimmicks, because they soon stop working. Either every other Internet marketer and his dog starts using them, or search engines and other online service providers slam the door on them because of abuse.
